Be still little Child.

by Megann Lee   Apr 11, 2007

Be still little child; you have no worries or fears.
For in your eyes, the World has no meaning yet.
With age comes reality and harsh truths will follow.
Brace yourself for the one hard fall that threatens to kill.
For the World to you--is only just a playground.
Where fiction and non-fiction tangle with what's been told.
Keep your facts correct and your truths before all the lies.

The lies will die.
The stories will fade.
Then it'll start all over again.

Be still little child; you have no worries or fears.
For in my eyes, there are many more years to come.
With age comes knowledge and the facts I shall give.
Don't be scared you'll do just fine with me by your side.
For you will have the intelligence to know your rights from wrongs
Nothing is quite as it seems little child of mine.
There's that fine line that shall not be crossed.

Be still little child.
Have no worries.
Have no fears.

I really enjoyed reading this. It was quite unique, i've never read anything like this, which is excellent in itself. There is so much truth in these words. I love the first little stanza. The flow was really good and the word choice was suited well. Another great poem you have here. 5/5

Another masterpiece from you. I'm sure this'll be interpreted many different ways, but the way I'm seeing it, I'd love to recite this to my baby sister. Brilliant.

  • Great poem. The flow was good and I loved the way you structured it.
    Keep it up 5/5
