Wave of love

When i think of your love, i think of a warm spring morning
sitting by a creek bank, leaded against an old log
watching the stillness of the water, as a dew drop falls
from a tree above, creating a wave of love.

That passes over my body, i get lost in the sight
and it takes me for a ride, filled with all the things
you want in life, that make you happy
your warm skin close to mine, as we embrace.

Our lips come together, ever so softly
a gentle kiss, the passion sets in
a burning desire, we finally have our day
the one we waited for, the one that took so long.

Now we have time, it's on our side
the rest of our lives together, was it worth the wait?
yes it was, and i would do it all again
like the dew drop, that falls from the tree above.

That creates that wave, of precious love
i long to feel, passing over me
with the snap of branch, i awake
