My Shadow...

My shadow cries for attention as time flies by
I watched a thousand colors of life within the blink of an eye
My face refuses to recognize the soul that is inside
I have a smile on my face but the tears I can't hide

The anger inside the ambitious eyes
The bitter truth inside the blissful lies
The life inside the dead brain
The smile I fake when I'm in pain

My restless soul needs one last break
Life has given me so much more than I can take
My shadow remains the only one with me
My demons everyone saw... the soul nobody wanted to see
