Two Angels

by The DaveJon   Apr 12, 2007

An angel went walking one day
Listening to the song of the wind
Glistening in white and radiating joy
And upon hearing a mournful cry
She paused on her journey
Looking down and seeing the wings
Blacken, torn, and tattered
The bloody and dying mess of a man

She listened for a moment
Hear the screaming soul
Touched by compassion
She offered her hand
Asking for a chance
To show new life
And put light back in
To this broken shell

A slow shudder
A quiet sigh
An agonizing standing
Of a fallen one
Saved by an angel
Shown how to love
Shown how to believe
Shown how to be one

Two angels now walking
Together, side by side
Two angels slowly healing
Together, hand in hand
Two angels learning
The true face of love
Two angels dancing
Forever in the night sky

Two angels slowly entwined
Two angels wings as white as a dove
Two angels realizing, together they will fly
Two angels in love
Two angels fighting a storm,
For it was for each other
That these two angels were born.
