Beauty

by Kersten   Apr 12, 2007

Sorry i don't really no where this fits in but i thought here sounds good.

They say its what's inside that counts
but they don't really care.
They're the ones with figures-
perfect faces, perfect hair.
If only they could see the world
for one day through my eyes.
During the day when people look at you
And decide you don't fit in.
When you're not skinny or beautiful
They think its a sin.
If they saw themselves through my eyes
Maybe then they'd know.
It shouldn't matter what you look like-
True beauty doesn't show.

Please dont ever let yourself believe that someone is perfect, because no one is honestly perfect. Everyone needs to start supporting eachother and making eachother feel beautiful. You have something that many either take for granted or do not posess. A talent for poetry. We cannot change who we are and one day we will all have to accept that. Your poem held true emotion and that is what makes it great :]

    All the best,
    Bonnie
