A Goodnight Pryer

Now i lay me down to sleep
I pray the lord my soul to keep.
As i rest in my bed
I hold to gun to my head.
Tears stream down my cheeks
Knowing this'll be the last thing i ever speak.
I am a spot of darkness, in a world of light
God, it gives me such a fright.
Please, let me go
My heart not as eager to show.
Everything people tell me, it's all a lie-
Lord, do you understand why i cry?
This cold metal chills my skin
As another tear drips off my chin
I try to get wasted every night
Trying to forget my life
I'm sorry for the things i did
Even in the short while that I've lived
As i pull the trigger, and hear the boom
I can't say I'm sorry to have died so soon.
So, now i lay me down to sleep,
