Missing You

by Bill Turner   Apr 13, 2007

It is waiting for me
Cold and empty
Calling me to be still
Another empty bed
Another night of dread

Alone in a casino full of people
Sitting behind the door
Knowing that I need sleep
Waiting for it to take me
Waiting for sleep you see

The phone is not the same
I miss the heat of your voice in my ear
Words of love not the same
I miss the look in your eyes
I miss the caress of your thighs

I shall lay in the dark
Lonely and alone
The beat of my heart
Pounding out a love song for you
Pounding out the longing I have for you

This is heartbreaking, Bill. It aches me to read such sad poetry from you. Darien had wrote earlier how much he missed your "parties" and I must say that I miss them too. Hope all is well...

"The phone is not the same

^^^ Awesome line, yet so full of sadness.

    Beautiful poem!

This was so sad and I know how hard it is to be away from people that we care so deeply about. Great poem.
