My last farewell

by Poetically Speaking   Apr 13, 2007

I fell apart, but you're free so no longer will you hurt.
You gave to me hope and showed me love;
You're with me forever,
and all of the stairs lead to you when I climb what we built above.

Seems like I've just begun to understand what you meant,
but that doesn't mean the memories don't dwell.
So I'm leaving this for you...
my last farewell.

The seasons aren't colorful when we watch the trees change,
they're gray and black with clouds towering above.
And if you listen to the east you'll remember what we shared,
and smell the hollowness of what we once loved.

Our love, it can never be brought back to life.
So alone, I die, because our love is just a shell.
I found you in the darkness, yet now you've found the light,
so to you I give this...
my last farewell.
