My life is about to Begin

I was only nine when we met,
our eyes across the yard,
the sounds of our laughter
all the while as we kept,

just far enough apart
for no-one to know,
our secret love, we
never let show.

You were handsome then
And I always knew,
I wanted to spend my
whole life with you.

But fate drove us apart
for the longest time
As I held on to memories
of when I was nine

But I've found you now
And we're all grown up
its been twenty five years
But more than enough

Of being apart, from

So now we will be
together at last
and smile and laugh as we
