Grant me some sense

Shhh, do you hear anything? Anything at all
For I cannot breach the silence of this tragedy
You seem to be mouthing at me, as I hear no words
But I must be wrong for others cannot hear me

It's weird really, the right path, to me, seems so.. wrong
No beautiful walk to a divine light, or wonderful prize
Just a dark path, without a world to turn to or hide
I do not want to be forced to walk when I wish to fly

The Rolling Stones insist on telling me daily
"You can't always get what you want" Which I know
So I wind up sitting next to a new age shakespeare
Finding a new way to tell them "No"

A million cryptic messages, and a thousand unheard sounds
Stuck between another metaphor when all I need is truth
My poetry is empty for the words cannot be said
Another way of avoiding admitting to them I love you...
