Broken ( For her babies )

by Rachael   Apr 15, 2007

Her babies are all dying
But they feel no hurt no pain, for they've died
a thousand times before, this is their life,
Who cares anyway?
They've been broken for a long time,
their mum was shattered as a girl
her broken arm and dirty clothes in such
a cold a dark, cruel world.
She doesn't 'mean' to do it;
She's hurting; It just 'happens' sometimes,
She always 'forgets' to brush their hair,
But she loves them;deep inside.
Bruises kept a secret,
Sometimes they're too much to bare
But most times, they don't feel them,
Are we really all too busy?
To ask, to see, to care?
So who will save her babies?
Maybe you or me?
Help give them a chance,
To smile, to laugh,
be whole, be free.
I pray one day we won't
Just look
But we will also, see.
