Silence In The Grave

by Unrequited   Apr 15, 2007

Speak nothing, for there are no more words.
Imagination, haunting the depths of your heart.
Let me crawl inside, where i want to hide
Empty yourself before you say goodbye.
Never do we make a sound.
Cast all your dreams into the thundering storm.
Every heart will die, as our spirits silently cry.

In this silence, sorrow grabs us by the throat
Never do we make a sound, for our love is never found.

Time has filtered through, shattering glass within our hands
Hours become minutes, minutes now undefined.
Everything we love will be extinguished from above.

Gray winters, still within this broken moment
Rivers cease to run, no more songs will be sung.
Answers never answered, questions go unasked
Violence brings us peace, love of the heart now released.
Every sound that's made becomes silence in the grave.

*** I've been trying to write an acrostic poem for a long time, and this is my first success. I hope you like it, because it was a struggle for me. :)

I give you a standing ovation for being able to write an acrostic poem beautifully without making it feel choppy or interupted
