Ooo, one of my faves by you!
The rhythm was so excellent. It sounded like it could almost be sung.
The imagery was amazing, i felt like i was stood right there as the words were recited..

(And yeah, written to kill my writers block.. and it worked for a while, got a couple of new ones now =)

I liked this one as well : ) It put me in mind of the poetry of the Romantics, if you're familiar, with the exclamations and softness.

There was a very nice, subtle rhyme moving thoughout the whole thing, and I think it worked very well. The only rhyming phrase I didn't particularly like was "it deepens some feet." I know you were looking for a match for "beat," but... "some feet" is kind of bland. But, hey, it's not as though it made the poem bad, I just think you have the talent to do something more with it.

Again, I'll restate that I loved the rhythm and the movement of the words - I can tell you chose them well. I also liked the occasional questioning nature of the poem. Good work, again!

Wow.. this is really great.. i love the metaphors and the flow is really nice as well.. a different style than your other poems and it shows me that you can write wonderfully in all different types of poetry.. this is by far my favorite of them all... the passion i feel is really strong in this poem.. keep it up :D
