Lullaby... [Terzanelle]

by Debbie   Apr 15, 2007

Thine voice is like the early morning breeze,
That quenches my soul in comely embrace;
'Twas thy lullaby that soothes me to ease.

Thine heart sings for me; my gloom was defaced,
As mellifluent melody transcends-
That quenches my soul in comely embrace.

Sore at heart was I, nay, ye durst to mend-
This broken spirit rejuvenated,
As mellifluent melody transcends.

To mystic orbs that had earnestly shed,
A solemn care exclusively for me;
This broken spirit rejuvenated.

My heart, in rapture, comforted by thee;
With an angelic voice reverberating,
A solemn care exclusively for me.

Within warm arms did I stop whimpering,
Thine voice is like the early morning breeze,
With an angelic voice reverberating,
'Twas thy lullaby that soothes me to ease.

    Well! Breathtaking. Ok, so my poetry looks sing-songy, and boring, but it goes to show how I'm always going to stay that way.. lol.. you have made it look so beautiful, and yet, I have no idea how you can fathom the style.. It looks incredibly difficult.. Just goes to show what an amazing poet you are, huh? You made it all connect so beautifully, and it read so graphically. What a wonderful poem. 5/5 without a doubt. Well done. xx

    I loved how you "reused" words throughout this poem. I think it gave the piece a lot of depth. Also you have an amzing vocab. That for me always makes it that much better. 5/5

    You're writing is fabulous. You should give me some pointers on how to chose words. I don't know how you do it, but your word choice is alway awesome.
