Cold Winters Dream

by abz   Apr 15, 2007

Snowflakes falls gently against my window pane
as the wind and rain howls drives me insane
tormented lost souls
dancing across the midnight skies
evil lurks to take yet another life
air thick across the coldness of my
dim lit room
console my body
beneath the warmth
of my bed hatred looms
tossing and turning
til it hurts my head
sleep beckons
the dreamworld calls
spirits wings dances
against my wall

slumber on reverse
nothing sinks in this confused mind
my eyes grows heavy
as whispers cries
the beating of my torn heart
aching like a lost wondering child
why now in this cold winters dream
I lay here
decieved by your love
that once grace my empty life
close this heart and
these sad driven eyes
curse for all eternity
silent lies
feast upon my weakness
devour my pride
I am nothing but
a empty shell
Are you content
Are you satisfied
that here lies a woman
who already died
sleep beckons me
for this is my world
cold, it seems
forever lost
in my
Cold Winters Dream
