Man and Wife.

by Crystal Gaze   Apr 16, 2007

I gave into your demands,
Allowing you to take my hand.
You walked me down the path of love,
and for years soothed me with your whispered hums.

Every where I went were seen,
a garden full of singing bee's.
Bee's that would not sting,
but linger with a buzzing glee.

At night no longer would I see,
a black sheet closing in on me.
But a night sky alight with diamonds, the lingering glow of love.

The moon was full the night we kissed,
beneath our dark abyss.
Tight in you arms you held me close,
holding me until the sun rose.

In your eyes I saw a love so strong,
I knew we were destine to sing this song.
With you by my side I'll make it in life, side by side, man and wife.

I would just like to say thanks to Marlanna for helping on this piece.
Thanks Hun.

Elaine, wow girlie.. I really really liked this poem! I read your work and wow.. you just do so well with rhyming, I wish I had that talent of yours! You did very well with this poem, and the last sentence wraps it all up perfectly. The paragraph I enjoyed reading the most was,

"At night no longer would I see,
a black sheet closing in on me.
But a night sky alight with diamonds, the lingering glow of love."

I think I love it so much because of how you described the stars as diamonds in the sky.

    Great job Elaine! 5/5 <3 <3 <3
