Ever Since You Left

by gabriel   Apr 16, 2007

When it begins it is like hell
Or even worse, I can't tell
I dread to see darkness again
Closing my eyes I can feel the pain

I lay there looking around
The baroque walls have me bound
Screaming aloud in deafening tones
I can hear shuffling within my bones

That's when the sand man comes
With his grains of silver dust
I resist but to no avail
Soon to sleep I slowly lust

And it begins...

Like a mug full of brimming ale
Of bitter sweetened broth
The waves came up at me
Swallowing to and froth

Out of darkness...

Tongues lashing in delight
Tasting my every fear
Each droplet of blood that shed
Came out from either ear

And from behind...

A smooth curve of ivory
Serrated at the end
Jarred within my agony
This fate I can't pretend

From somewhere above...

A thousand volt of sudden shock
Rushing through my mind
The nerves within my fingertips
Burst and spewed blood wine

And finally, from below...

Grotesque hands reach from below
I hear their wailing cries
They pull me towards their monstrosity
Reveling in sins and lies

The world goes dark...

I find myself lying there
My limbs whole, my body bare
I'm aching all around
My ears can hear no sound
I'm under a sycamore tree
Unbroken, unspirited yet free
Sitting up and catching my breath
It's the same dream ever since you left
