My hero

by Alissa   Apr 16, 2007

I see him sitting,
such an incredible figure.
I want to cry,
I miss him so much.

Then we lock eyes,
he smiles so gentle.
I want to run,
dash to be next to him.

But I can't,
I'm strapped down.
I can't move an inch,
I am a prisoner.

But his single touch,
he held my hand.
"I'll be back, don't worry."
My darling love.

But now he's home,
so far away.
I can't see him,
not until he finds a way.

I want to see his smile,
just once more.
I love his touch,
so sweet and gentle.

So from then on,
since he held my hand.
I'm waiting for his return,
but he is my hero.
