This Letter

It's with a heavy heart
I am writing this to you
But under the circumstances
I have no choice but to..

I start every single argument
At least that's what you said
And the way that things are going
It's starting to hurt my head

I know you said we'd work it out
We just really need to try
But we're arguing most every day
It's time to say goodbye

I don't treat you the way you deserve
You ought to be treated better
It's time we went our separate ways
So I'm writing you this letter

Maybe we'll get another chance
To be together some day
After we've grown up a bit
And lived life our own way

You know I'll always love you
I promise it from the start
No matter what happens with 'us'
You'll always be in my heart

    I really like this stanza, it is my favorite, gives me that "wow been there done that" feeling lol Very relateable piece.

    Maybe fictional for you but almost inspiring to others. I mean in terms of offering advice. We follow our hearts blindly and sometimes we just have to stop and back off.
