The Pain I Have Felt

Days slowly pass by
Tears slip down my cheeks
Exhaustion overcomes me
As I search for the answers I seek.

Never knowing whom to trust
Never knowing which way to go
Always keeping me emotions
Hidden and off show.

Life is slipping by
Colours are just a haze
Spending my waking moments
Living in a daze.

Staring into space
Thoughts flashing through my head
Replaying every cruel thing
That was ever said.

This has been my way for so long
Can't remember anything else
Now it is finally time
To work through this pain I've felt.
