Successful illusions

Is this all one big illusion
this institution
these padded walls
and steroids
meant to destroy
individuality and self
is this what the call help
all they do is lie
trying to keep us alive
when all we want to do is die
suicide
and indecision
has blurred our vision
tainted whats real
whats fake
what happened to faith
devotion and love
and passionate hate
and terror
oh god the terror
deep rooted in bone
comes out when we're alone
consume and devour
a little more sanity every hour
further decay over time
until eventually we're out of our minds
so don't turn your back
or we'll lash out and attack
take back control
reclaim ourselves as clarity comes and goes
