Expectations

by Verdada   Apr 17, 2007

Smiles disguise veritable lament,
acting as if the world is enlightened
with perfection, sending advice
vividly described, demonstrating
solutions for me passes off as intricacy

Said in purpose to facilitate, locking
silent wails away, doubting reason
of my presence, credence within
hope vicissitude to hate of
families behavior, environment,
and peers envisage this everyday
scene to be vicarious

Maybe trapped in a virtual
world, castigate myself for being
clueless of quietude, burying
skull with variations of questions
strongly wanting to give up,
feel like an alien to this life

Cracking into pieces each second,
tired of pleasing and helping
others for I've lost sense of me,
I've failed, caring for your opinions
has made me weak, so y'all
expectations from now on has
been canceled
