Steps of Time

There is a truth, within every heart
Which slowly tears them apart
A bond in which nothing can break
Nothing but their own bare hands

To turn back the steps of time
And to wish to be as a mime
Not a word will spill from the lips
Of which had destroyed her life

As a child they were of the kitten
Soon to laugh after their liken
Barbie dolls and painted faces
Made her childhood worth the smile

Now they are nothing but a wolverine
She won't look at herself as a human being
Knowing her thoughts, will only destroy her
For she has lost all within herself

Beyond the horizon is her second half
She can't even speak on her own behalf
Their bond is lost with a blow to the face
If only she could turn back the steps of time

-this is dedicated to my sister Maria... whom may never see this poem.. and if she does she will not understand it only to strike back again </3
