Devouring sin

Bring that vial of poison here while I tell you the story of my unrequited love and the demise of yours truly.
She was everything that I have ever hated, yet found a way to carve her name into my heart.
With each smile she dug her way deeper into the crevices of my mind and in due time, became a part of me.
Although there was pain involved it never seemed to phase me
so I let her continue planting herself among my garden of Eden.
Like the serpent that hid among the trees, she lay there, plotting my beautiful end.
Her embrace was the forbidden fruit that I indulged ever so sweetly
her words like milk and honey intoxicated me
soon I would become addicted to her; my devouring sin
