I should Have Said No

This weekend was incredible
Saturday was ecstasy
There's no where in the world
I would rather be

Everything has been so great
But now I only wonder
There's something you want to talk about
A rock I want to crawl under

I have been so innocent
So loving and kind
I've been there when you were stressed
Just to help you unwind

Now I fear this secret
May effect us in some way
I wish I could change time
And make it another day

If not for your ex
In the middle of it all
Things would have to happen
You wouldn't have to call

Call and say she called
And told you about me
She saw something on the internet
So to my life, she thinks she has a key

She couldn't check the dates
Or even pay attention
I haven't even logged on
Did I forget to mention?

Now she's trying to tell me
What I'm not sure is true
But I didn't read it yet
Because I promised you

For now I'll finish my work
Until it's time to go
When you asked to take me to lunch
I should have said no...
