LIFE IS A MYSTERY

by desleeds   Apr 17, 2007

I travel to this world incognizant of what awaits the long journey
Pure thoughts in mind with virginal innocence of an infant
Life is then like a wind in peace with trees so still and leaves unmoved

I grow with times with all my senses so curious with the world i'm in
A sudden change with things in fast pace no place for me to dilly dally
All moves to and fro like birds in search of worms to feed its young

A whole gamut of emotions encompasses my world of existence
With transitory feeling of happiness, elusive as the will of the wisp
And air of sadness echoing my sentiments without let up

The major upheavals that i've gone through have made me strong
And learn to take the bitter with the sweet, the rough with the smooth
To keep my head above the water and even to go through the mill

When i tend to soar for the summit some people try to pull me down
And when i'm down a few would lift me up though halfway in their hearts
Good deeds are put into oblivion while if i fumble im ostracized to the end

What a crazy world with each one biting another's back to harm
Where a true friend is a jewel so rare to find like a pin in a haystack
But a true-blue foe is just a thin line away a risk to one's limb

Life is a journey with crossroads for me to choose the road most taken
I may err along the way but with my contrite heart i make amends
With a promise to live my life in the likeness of Jesus Christ Our Lord
