Please Mummy, don't

by Rachael   Apr 17, 2007

Mummy please don't drink anymore
But what can I say? I'm only four.
Mummy, why do you cry in the night?
I want you to comfort me, hold me tight
But your tears they cause me so much pain,
I just want your love, you to hug me and say,
"I love you so much , I'll never let go."
I'm so sad mummy please, I'm afraid, don't you know?
But the words I can't find, I'm just far too small,
"Please help me Mummy, don't let me fall."
But the drink keeps taking you far away
To some other, lost world, in some other place.
I can't breathe Mummy, I'm in so much pain,
I'm begging you, don't let this happen again,
My tiny heart breaks each time you leave,
Don't go to that place, where you can not take me.
I'm hurting so much, but what can I say?
But I scared Mummy, please, make the pain go away.
I want you to take me to the park in Spring,
I want to laugh and smile when you sing,
Without you my heart just shatters and breaks
But the pain Mummy please, it won't go away.
Tomorrow maybe you'll come back to me,
You won't drink anymore, and you'll never leave,
And tomorrow I'll be a happy child,
You won't drink anymore, you'll be back and I'll
stop being afraid of losing you,
You'll love me like you used to do.
Cause I need your love Mummy please, don't you see?
I'm begging you Mummy, please come back to me.
