Unloved People

I dwell in the darkness
hidden by shadows
My heart is frozen
Broken and closed

I do not know love
It's just a word
A silly phrase
I have heard

I know only sadness
Pain and deceit
I welcome the day
That death I meet

Alone, scared
Cold and unloved
Is it the touch?
That I want so much

My eyes watch
The days go bye
How long will I live?
When will I die?

Another tear has dried away
My tears are falling rain
Caused by all growing
sadness and pain

I feel a sudden jerk, this is it
I fall deeper and deeper
My heartbeat slows
Weaker and weaker

Show me the light
Lead me there
Where all I feel
Is love and care

Death I welcome
Death is now
So many question
What? Why? How?

My body motionless
Lay cold on the floor
This is what happens to people
Who aren't loved anymore
