Changeling

by Cherise   Apr 17, 2007

I lost the compassion,
along with all it's mapping,
All the things i thought i once had,
are all of sudden lacking.
Dreamy days, just pass on by
I never did much of anything,
But i still wonder why.

Smoking weed, and hugging tress
now only make me torn.
Carrying loads, on empty roads
make me ask why I was born.

Well god hasn't been treating me good,
Things ain't turning out
the way I think they should
Finding it sort of hard, to truly walk straight
but this to me is not a concern,
but a simple twist of fate.

I tug on this rope,
But someones on the other end,
and she's not a friend,
and she's making it impossible
for me to start again.

But no, I can't be upset,
and No, I can't cry,
like the convict,he did change
and now so must I.
