Precious Jewel

by ShaKayla   Apr 18, 2007

As the snowflakes fell she poured the coffee down
her throat as if it were ice tea.
She stayed by the fire
all comfy and warm, wishing it would stop raining
so she could see him.
Nothing was the same now
that it was over between them.
She sat around depressed and lonely
wanting him to call her.
"No, no a thousand times no",
he said raising his voice at her,
is what she remembered him saying to her.
She liked and cared for him,
but he didn't care for her.
She held her heart in her own hands
as if it were a precious jewel,
not wanting it to get broken again.
