Enlightment

by Snowdrift   Apr 18, 2007

I close my eyes and drift off,
The endless wonder entrances me,
I drift into a world where I have no care,
I feel the darkness surround me,
I welcome this new feeling,
I am enlightened,
Free,
Reality calls to soon,
I swim back down,
Down to my thoughts,
But I can't.
I turn up,
Up to where I came,
And as I surface,
breaking the thoughts I have been contemplating
With a powerful push past,
I break the barrier and surface,
I hear your voice,
Then see your face,
I feel your hand on my arm, Worried.
And I know I am back.
