A Romance Story Ends

by Kellie   Apr 18, 2007

Over a lush hillside sat a sobbing girl,
Her tears began to fall when her dreams became a twirl.
A twirl of fake emotions, a twirl of broken lust,
A twirl of deep regret, a twirl of lost trust.
Before her sadness arrived knocking at her door,
She was a sweet young girl everyone adored.
When she was ten she was happy as can be,
Running, playing, laughing, hiding in the trees.
Tapping on the neighbours doors selling chocolate treats,
To help the charity she done this every week.
She adored the ocean as clear as her blue eyes,
Looking at it every day made her rather wise.
Wisest of the owls brighter than the sun,
From this point on wards her life became undone.
Soon a new arrival made her quiver so,
With a dry throat she mustered a hello.
He had beautiful blue eyes much as she had her own,
As her heart was throbbing she felt a feeling quiet unknown.
The next few days was a flow of happiness and glee,
The start of a romance story was a guarantee.
Once when they were on the beach watching the waves gain height,
He said to her three magic words that made her heart take flight.
But as it is well-known that love stories don’t always last,
It soon came crashing down leaving a terrible past.
A third heart got involved what else was he to do?
He longed for something different he longed for something new.
He still loved her dearly for the memories he kept,
But the third heart was so mysterious that his heart had to accept.
A new story was blossoming but where did that leave her?
Sobbing on the hillside remembering what they once were.
