Was it meant to be...?

She just happened to break up with him and i just happened to be there,
This was her fourth time breaking up with him, she doesn't care!

But i did, i mean i do, i listened to your problems and told you it was going to be ok,
I remember everything you said to me- to this very day.

We were friends for a while and then we started talking,
I never thought i would go out with a white boy, it was the weirdest thing,

But it felt so right, i felt like this was something i was supposed to do,
The best way to change your life is to try something new.

But was it meant to be,
Because 8 months ago- he broke up with me!

For her, the girl that broke his heart four different times,
If i had a dime for every bad thing he said about her, i would have a lot dimes!

But what does that mean if he told me that he was falling in love with me,
But 2months later he's with her, i don't get it, i can see!

Why, would he do this he was always so nice, and sweet,
He was just right next to me and now...an empty seat.

Does he miss me as much as i miss him cuz i cant tell,
I wish i could get over him and just wish him well!

8 months later, i only look occasionally,but hes the only one for me,
I never lost any love for him, but i still wonder...was it meant to be?
