Stolen Life

by Jenni Marie   Apr 19, 2007

Robbed of her life
Tears upon her cheeks
Spending her days confused
As she searches the answers she seeks.

Not knowing whom to trust
Nor the direction she should go
Her once perfect life torn apart
Feeling her heart's about to blow.

Sitting silently alone
Back pressed against the wall
Staring vacantly into space
Letting painful tears fall.

Locked in her empty dark room
Silence pressing against her soul
Remembering a time long ago
When she felt happy and whole.

Very sad. Imagery and word choices were great.

Locked in her empty dark room
    Silence pressing against her soul
    Remembering a time long ago
When she felt happy and whole.

This stanza really ended this nicely.

Well written. The last line of the first verse is little too long. You might consider:

Where are the answers she seeks?
