Endless Road of Misery

by Lonesomeme   Apr 19, 2007

Pick and pick until there is no more
Once again,
left in solitude

alone.

Its dark, I can no longer hear
The pounding of my heart
I feel a throbbing,
An intense void
Where my soul used to live
They have left me,
Empty and broken,
Cold and soaking
In my own blood;
As the gapping hole
Grows darker and darker

No ones fault but my own
I lay here
Thinking of my faults
The road most traveled
The path less desireable
And yet still
I frequent this road
Robbers and thieves
Roaming in the darkness

The light of my heart bright
Yet the blood smear
Closely trailing my footsteps
Someday I will learn
Someday I will not ask why
Someday I will go with the flow
Someday I will not pick
The road most traveled
