The Beloved and her Blood

by Poet   Apr 19, 2007

Beloved,once there was that time
When she was happy and smiled, and everything was fine
The Beloved, her heart was full of love, cheer
Never once did she say she had fears
Her smile was bright, never once held sadness
Her eyes would gleam even through madness

Beloved that's what she thought she was
Beloved and she loved him so
Beloved until one day he let her go

Now her smile, that used to be bright
Is sad and dismayed through all of their fights
Her eyes that seemed to gleam in the sun
Now are filled with tears from his shun

So she takes the blade from her fathers tool chest
And smiles like she never has before
The blade slides briskly across her skin, she thinks it's best
And her pain in her now blackened heart is no more
She smiles a crazy grin, she no longer cares if it's a sin

It's my body I can do what I wish
It's all because of him and that dumbass kiss
She drops the gold locket in the puddle of blood
As she looks at the flow as it floods
The scars are deep and continious
But she knows it's not like she'll ever be missed

The room goes dark the blood feels damp
She can't see, or feel the light of the lamp
As she drifts with a smile upon her face
Her last thought is, now we're both in a happier place
