Heroes They're Called (Acrostic)

by Italian Stallion   Apr 20, 2007

Heroes they're called
Escaping from within
Raging soldiers hearts
On every bloody day
Emptiness they feel, when
Slaughtering mankind

Mothers crying, trying to
Except their loved ones, that are
Long and far away
Overseas fighting for their country
Down on their knees, the soldiers are
Yelling I'm no hero, I'm just a man

Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title. Pretty straight forward, no rhyme scheme or syllable count.

I like the Heroes Melody thing better. This was a very nice poem. And I like the ending...though they truly are heroes. Very nice write, Jobo. =] Never stop!
