I Saw An Angel

by The Mr Simon   Apr 20, 2007

I saw an Angel today,
Eyes downcast, sitting still.
Her thoughts so far away,
She sat alone upon that hill.

A tired look, she displayed,
Showed burdened weariness.
A cruel hand, fate had played,
She sat alone in eerieness.

One day the gloom will end,
But she will tell you otherwise.
A smile, God will send,
To clear the water from her eyes.

* I wrote this about a girl called Nicole, she was very withdrawn and seemed impossible to cheer. I'll always love you Nicky : )
