Fallen Angel

by Kayla   Apr 20, 2007

Silently she flies away,
a beautiful angel with so much grace.
Sirena is the Angel of Life,
only she can give you more time.
More time to live on earth,
more time to be the human she once was.
But sometimes she's also a devil,
she can take a life as fast as she can give one.
That's how angels are though,
they're all the same,
because angels aren't allowed to feel anything.
It's not their faults though,
it's just the rule.
In order to be an angel,
you can't be a fool.
And if you have emotions,
you're definitely considered a fool.

As Sirena flew away,
she started to feel somebody's pain.
Not just somebody in fact,
but a young man with his heart barely attached.
As she read his mind,
she couldn't figure out what it was,
was his heart just broken or what?
That's when she decided to guard this man,
help heal his dying heart.
Sirena started following him everywhere,
he slowly stopped falling apart.

She was always in shock,
when he decided not to give his ex-girlfriend a call.
One night though the secret came out,
he said,"Beautiful angel, you can stop hiding now."
Silently Sirena stepped into the light,
him staring at her was such a strange sight.
Quietly she whispered,"And you always knew I was there?"
He nodded and said,"I just didn't want to give you a scare."

They talked for awhile,
mortal and immortal,
normal human and beautiful angel.
She asked him how he could see her,
that couldn't be possible.
He put down his cup and sighed,
he said,"I was once like you,
a graceful angel.
I met her by chance and I fell in love,
but becoming a fallen just wasn't good enough...
she left me.
I can't believe I gave into her lies,
because of her I can't have a life.
I still can't believe I gave up my feathered wings,
just so I could be the person she wanted me to be."

That's when Sirena's heart began to ache,
she no longer felt like she was completely fake.
As a tear rolled down her cheek she knew,
that she had fallen in love too.
This man wasn't like the rest,
because to her he was the absolute best.
She kissed his lips softly and whispered,"Would you still love me in the morning?"
He kissed her back and said,"I always will."
So Sirena's wings were ripped from her back,
she was now a fallen too.
