Rainy Day

by The Mr Simon   Apr 20, 2007

The wind blows cold, upon my face
My hand's gone numb, leaves over the place
My shoes are soaked, upon my feet
The road stretches on, I know I'm beat
The rain falls down, upon my head
"I'm tired of this!" aloud I said

The sky's got a mask, of blue and gray
I can't see the sun, is it night or day?
Cars buzzing by, in front of me
I feel so slow, I can barely see
What a lousy day, this turned out to be!
Then I hear your voice, it strengthens me

* Left unfinished, you wouldn't believe that I wrote this on a clear day hehe ^_^. I wrote it when I was overseas in Europe and I drew inspiration from a pathway I used to take to and from town, and it was always wet and had leaves everywhere.
