The one I could have

It's what my boyfriend does that drives me mad
The fact he knows I'm sad

Sad because of truth
Scared because of the future
Silly because I act that way
And worried my true love will leave

I watch him walk down the hall
strong, comforting and tall
boyfriend by my side
Saying I love you is a lie

I tried to disappear from this spot
Only to find i simply can not

I cry because I love him
I cry because he is not mine
I cry because he waits for me
when he knows I can't leave

Just walk away
simple to say
But harder to do
I wish my dream to come true

But for that I would hurt someone in the end
So sadly he's just a friend
