Colours of the Rainbow (Red)

by Afraid of the Dark   Apr 20, 2007

Red is the colour,
That burns in your heart,
It is the red jelly,
On a jam tart.

It is anger and love,
All rolled into one,
Red is a warning,
Not to be done.

Red is a poppy,
Pinned to your clothes,
A reminder of war,
Against evil foes.

Red is the colour,
That has the effect,
Hate love and anger,
And the need to reflect.

I liked it, but it seemed kinda like it ended right in the middle.. I think with a bit of work it could be great.

    I loved this poem
Although it seemed that you were
    Repeating some stuff, though.
I kind of found the beginning funny.
    I don't.
    It was kind of random.
    Lol.
