You Weren't There

by Christie   Apr 20, 2007

Scatter my ashes with a broken heart,
Tell only those who were torn apart,
None however, to let you down,
Crying emptying the resonant sound.

Yet with those tears left knives in miss,
Shuddering when leaving the unwelcomed bliss,
However, truth reveals its head,
So too the presence of life in death.

Significance spun in webs of deceit,
Where it with scorn in darkness meets,
But within those thoughts, shared memories paired,
If only you knew but you weren't there.

I liked this poem i think it was dark and eerey, I also liked how you portrayed these emotions in the poem. Your vocab seemed a little bit too common but other then that i found this to be a greatly written short piece. Well done~mel
