Lies

by Steven Cooper   Apr 20, 2007

A lie is something as harmless as a fly,

yet deadlier than any poison.

Its something that can be an escape from a situation,

or bury you until you cant go on.

It can make someone feel better,

if they were feeling down before.

It can make someones feel sad,

so sad to where nothing matters anymore.

As i sit in this pit of lies i dug,

i look around and see the damage i've done.

I think of how i could free myself from all these lies,

but as i try, my mind begins to think of one....

The one who i am about to hurt,

the one who is giving up everything for me.

So, I lie to myself and make myself believe,

That this is what i want....this is where i want to be....
