The Final Goodbye

Before I go,
I know tears won't fall from your face,
nothing will give life to our once filled hearts,
and time together will be lost and broken apart,
day by day, we'll throw anything just to get past,
the bleeding emotions that wrap around us in thorns
to filter anything out that gives chance, the last drop
that falls in our palms, the feeling that cannot pass.

I'll know from a new start, that what we had
from the start is what you can't get back, because the
beginning is the best part, even the ending gave our
silence we had one more day, I still think of you from
time to time, in my reality happiness roots have taken
over my mind, still I burry my head in my hands
because for a brief moment in time, I realized I
destroyed part of my life for you, it became too much
for me, but I was enough for you, the sadness of it is
you should be with me, and it won't come true even
while we speak, nothing matches what you start, what
you have to end, and then a small song, a little smile,
and then nothing, is how our once beautiful relationship
had to end.
