Tales of an old boy***

by sarah   Apr 20, 2007

19 a parachutist - so brave,
75 and still tackling climbing frames,
Full of tales of a young boy
He hugs me now,
Still a child inside.
Now eighty years - old but wise,
With all his marbles he tires and tries.
I wish you wouldn't talk down to him,
Stop treating him like hes daft and stupid,
He's the nicest man I've ever known,
Slightly tactless, but honesty he never lets go.
Don't patronize, don't talk slow.
He's more clever than you'll ever know.
A heart of gold with so much love
Not a fool who doesn't know whats going on...
