The Words He'll Never Know

by Rachel   Apr 21, 2007

She walks into the darkest room
shadows creeping near
she thinks she hears the faintest noise
then realizes it's fear

she keeps on walking and sees a light
it shines so bright but still
she walks towards it but finds herself
falling down a hill

she falls for miles then finally stops
landing between two roads
she meets a boy who helps her up
and on his ship she abodes

he sails her away on a path
of endless seeming seas
but suddenly the ship has crashed
she falls upon her knees

she looks at him, expecting his hand
he only looks away
she fades deeper into the sea
he lets her drown today

it's just so sad that he won't even care
that she suffers a horrible death
he'll just turn away and live right on
not listening to her last breath

before she dies she screams to him
"why have you let me go"
but he walks right on without a flinch
those words he'll never know
