The Colour of Day

by abracadabra   Apr 21, 2007

Today, the day has been like my carpet,
Gray and worn and flat,
It has lost its colour,
It has not rained,
A tired and miserly day.

But on my carpet I sit with you,
And between us there is Ludo.
Now I will be green and you will be blue,
We will eat pink marshmallows with red wine,
And that is all the colour I will need,
Today.

This is one of your poems that has so much charm shining through it just cheers one to read it. Enjoyable as always. Not sure about the marshmallows and red wine though lol
