A Lost Love

by Curtis Ayukawa   Apr 21, 2007

I stand upon the hill overlooking the sky,
I watch the sunset as the clouds float by.
I remember her grace, her overall finesse,
I used to kiss her, the love I can not express.
I saw her beauty, she was an angel from far above,
I only looked only once but I fell straight in love.

She made me feel like I was the best,
She made me feel above all the rest.
She loved me and I loved her,
She and I, if only we still were.
Shes no longer with me, I'm left all alone,
Shes shattered my soul and turned my heart to stone.

I stand upon the hill overlooking the sky
I think of her and the love I cannot deny.
I watch the sunset and the clouds float by,
I wish I could tell her, say one more goodbye.

I rise to my feet and think one more thought,
The love lasts forever but the pain does not.
