My Darkest Fear

by sHaTTeReD4SiLeNcE   Apr 21, 2007

Long lost in the abyss of darkness
I saw the last star shine in the middle of darkness
Shimmering in the cold sorrowful night
I found myself glad that my hope still lights
But as time pass by, the glow starts to fade
As the light starts to fade, I find myself in a trance
A trance where I felt as though the light has forgotten me
Although I know thy beauty just find me a piece of her memory
Still I find myself asking for that light
Still I find myself imploring for that shimmering piece of heaven
When will thy beauty shine again?
When shall I find myself triumphant against this dark abyss?

...IT IS THE MISTAKES THAT MAKES ME WHO I AM...

P.S.
this may sound mediocre for some of you but i like this poem... someone wrote it for me and i thought i would post it as a remembrance.

Don't get mad for my criticism, but "But as time pass by" should be "But as time passes by" , and that's about all I see wrong. Altogether it is a powerful poem! I am getting so tired of telling other poets that the shorter the poem, the stronger it should be, and this poem is very strong, and full of emotion! Kudos!
